First Annual Channukah Dinner

So this is the year where Channukah steps up to the plate. Several reasons come to mind, among them are the older kids are starting to ask about God, the year has been full of mixed blessings that got my attention and, of course, the xmas tree got ruined by hurricane ike so we don't have one :0 .

Coincident with all this we've been invited to a Channukah dinner party at the home of Randy and Chadisty Pauly. In BBQ circles Randy would be known as the head of the Holy Cow Cookers competition team, and Chad is his new bride. This evening we're off to light the candles for the last night of 2008 and see what kind of tradition we can ignite.

As for food, we have no idea what's in store. We plan to bring BBQ'd beans, some bean soup, and an apple pie.
